Programme Detail

The adolescent years are a time for exploring, establishing and growing towards a sense of identity and purpose in life.  It can be a confusing time for adolescents with various sources of influence around them all competing for attention and saying, “Follow me” Adolescents want to gain an understanding of who they, who they want to be, what their purpose in life is and how to achieve it and at the same time want to have a sense of belonging. They want to know and find that there are people who are like minded and who like them. Adolescents seek also an understanding of others – others’ behaviours and reactions towards them. It can be difficult making choices about friendships and future goals and directions when they do not know which way to turn.

The Greek Orthodox Youth Fellowship aims to provide a safe place in which adolescents can meet together to connect with God and each other to discuss and learn about life challenges and develop tools to cope with life’s difficulties and joys.

Our Vision

To instil in our Greek Orthodox Youth a willingness to enter into a relationship with God and to understand that God loves them.

Our Purpose

Establish a God-Centred paradigm through our acknowledgement that God is our centre we are more able to make wise, life affirming and life giving choices and decisions.

Through utilizing a God-centred paradigm,  equip adolescents with values, attitudes, skills and behaviours that allow them to become more able to respond in ways that enhance their life and enhance their service in the lives of others in a constructive, productive and life giving manner.

Our Mission

To develop and embrace an understanding of what a God-Centred Christian Life is about and how to manifest their life for themselves, with others and within their community and society in a healthy, life giving way.
